The Institute for Research and Development of Musical Instruments (IfM) is a research and service institute concentrating on applications and close cooperation with the industry and the subjects acoustics/vibration, technology and testing of materials, especially wood quality and wood protection. The main field of activity of the institute is the acoustics of musical instruments. We have an anechoic room available besides our high-quality digital analysing and recording equipment. The measurements are supplemented by work with computer models and subjective tests.
